Thamara Labrousse

Program Director

Thamara Labrousse has hands-on expertise on managing complex organizational issues, developed over 25 years working in social and human service settings. Her administrative skills includes program and development and implementation; community engagement and collaboration; grant writing; contract management; needs assessment and leadership with diverse groups. She has extensive experience in nonprofit management including strategic planning and data analysis; quality management; board administration and support; fiscal operations; human resource management; and staff and volunteer training and development. She excels in bridging partnerships that bring grassroots leaders together with professionals and policy makers to improve their communities.

Her professional experience includes seven years as a Consulting Partner with Strategic Partners where she focused on reducing fragmentation and duplication of services; promoting collaboration across systems of care to create seamless, coordinated service delivery for clients; and supporting quality improvement efforts that result in positive client outcomes and cost effectiveness. Ms. Labrousse also held leadership positions with Switchboard of Miami, Inc., including Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of the 24-hour Helpline Services Department. This non-profit organization specializes in Information & Referral services, Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention, and programs for at-risk youth and their families. Currently, Ms. Labrousse works with the City of Miami Gardens as Program Director, Healthy Community Partnership. This initiative is part of the City’s strategic and systemic effort to reduce poor health outcomes by engaging community residents to improve selected public health indicators.

Ms. Labrousse is a double Barry University alumnus, receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Public Administration and a Masters of Science degree in Management. She is a graduate of two prestigious local leadership training programs, Leadership Miami and the Miami Fellow’s Initiative.
